How Blue is Your Blood?
To remind our family and guests that Queen Elizabeth II is still the reigning monarch in Australia, I’ve established and implemented a household protocol. Here’s an extract:
1. Before purchasing any household item, you should first review the Directory of Royal Warrant Holders and select an appropriate supplier from this list. Best and reasonable effort should be made to source warranted items, before selecting an alternative (inferior) item. If multiple warrants exist for a specific item, any supplier bearing the Grantor ‘HM The Queen’ should be selected in favour of other warranted suppliers.
2. The British National Anthem is to be played at 18:00 every weeknight, including public holidays. All persons present during the Anthem should stand for the first verse. No alchohol is to be consumed prior or during the National Anthem. No talking is permitted during the Anthem.
