Whitney

I read an interview this week in the New York Times, looking at the use of typography in Barak Obama’s election campaign. It’s an interesting read, particularly if typography’s up your alley.

The article noted a similar typeface, Whitney, which I’m very impressed with. It’s not every day I see a typeface which impresses me, but Whitney did. Designed by Tobias Frere-Jones for New York’s Whitney Museum, Whitney is designed to work in crowded environments. It struck me as very refreshing, through it’s clear and very readable style, which works well across a range of different colours and applications.
